History Report
Description
2016 Kia Optima SXL Turbo — ONE OWNER | LOW MILES | $2,000+ RECONDITIONING
Here's one you don't see every day — a one-owner 2016 Kia Optima SXL Turbo with only 81,770 miles, a long documented service history, and more than $2,000 invested in our shop before we offered it for sale.
Finished in Ebony Black with a Black interior, this is the top-level SXL, powered by Kia's 2.0L turbocharged engine and 6-speed automatic transmission.
One Owner for Nearly 10 Years
CARFAX shows this Optima as a one-owner personal vehicle, with the original owner keeping it approximately 9½ years and averaging just 8,586 miles per year.
Even better, CARFAX shows 15 service history records, with regular oil changes documented throughout its life.
What We Did
This is a 10-year-old vehicle, and we didn't expect it to need nothing. Our inspection found several items that needed attention, and we took care of them.
Replaced the passenger-side mirror assembly
Installed new front brake pads
Resurfaced the front brake rotors
Fresh oil and filter change
Replaced both license plate bulbs
Replaced the missing trunk light assembly
Installed front license plate bracket
Removed aftermarket tint from the headlights and taillights so the vehicle could meet state inspection requirements
Virginia state inspection
Full professional detail
Total additional mechanical reconditioning: $2,005.78.
What You Should Know
CARFAX reports minor damage to the right side in July 2020. The damage is specifically classified as Minor, not moderate or severe. CARFAX reports no total loss, no airbag deployment, no odometer issue and no open recalls.
We also want to be upfront about its cosmetic condition. All four wheels have scuffing, and there is visible wear to the driver's seat, including a cut, along with some wear to the left rear seat. We chose to disclose those items rather than pretend a 2016 vehicle with 81,000 miles is cosmetically perfect.
A Service History Worth Talking About
The history is unusually consistent for a vehicle this age. Oil-change records continue through 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and November 2024, when it had 80,262 miles.
CARFAX even rates its future reliability as Good, noting regular oil changes and an average expected repair risk compared with similar Optimas.
One owner. Only 81,770 miles. Turbocharged SXL. Extensive maintenance history. More than $2,000 spent in our shop getting it ready.
It isn't a perfect 2016 Optima — and we're not going to describe it like one. What it is, however, is an unusually well-documented, low-mileage example that we've inspected, serviced and reconditioned.
That's Total Transparency — the good, the imperfect, and exactly what we did about it.
